Description
Aimed at helping the UK refrigeration industry meet strict European rules governing the containment of fluorinated gases (F-Gas), BOC has launched a leak detection mix of oxygen free nitrogen and helium, which with a smaller molecular composition, is better able to detect very small leaks.
The leak detection mix is supplied by BOC in an easy to carry cylinder filled to 200bar and fitted with a standard industrial valve outlet. The key benefits include:

- capable of detecting much smaller leaks due to the size of the test gas molecules

- Inert and non-flammable the mix is compatible with all standard pressure testing equipment (including nitrogen regulators)
- Suitable for leak testing any size of refrigeration system
- Leaks are detected with a helium sensor available from BOC Gas and Gear outlets or trading partner, HRP
Cost effective
- reducing the amount of refrigerant gas lost from the system through better leak detection will reduce the number as well as the cost of callouts by customers.
