Safety GlassesPersonal protection is required by workers to ensure their safety when carrying out welding or cutting. Workers involved in grinding, deslagging, chipping, machining, or any other activity where particles may be projected towards the operators' eyes must wear eye protection. Many different types of safety glasses are available for this purpose. They range from personal prescription safety glasses to general safety glasses. Some of these are designed to fit over spectacles worn by operatives. Whichever type is worn they must conform to safety standards and have sufficient resistance to impact by flying particles.
