Nickel Alloy MIG WireThere is a very wide range of nickel alloys available most of which are weldable, however, not all grades are available as MIG wires. Nickel MIG wires are split into similar types are the parent material namely Incoloys, Inconels, Nimonics, Hastalloys and Monels. Within ech of these types there are a number of different alloys available. As well as being used to joint nickel alloys these wires can be used to MIG weld cast irons, high alloy steels and stainless steels. Due to their austenitic structure they are also used as buttering layers when jointing together dissimilar metals and sometimes prior to a surfacing layer being applied. |
